Corey Houle
Swiss Kite Power
Trained as a mechanical engineer in Vancouver, Canada, Corey has resided in Switzerland since 2007. Prior to this he worked developing natural gas and hydrogen fuel systems for combustion engines with Westport Innovations. As a kite surfing enthusiast he sprung at the opportunity to combine work and pleasure and managed to convince his boss to pursue this exciting new topic in late 2008. After securing the backing of Alstom, Corey has worked to unite the three academic institutes under the Swiss Kite Power banner and to raise funding to continue their research. Apart from kite surfing, Corey pursues snowboarding, mountain biking, music and travelling.
