Sara Smoot

Sara Smoot is a PhD candidate in the Aeronautics and Astronautics department at Stanford University. Over the last two years her research has focused on identifying and solving academic points of interest associated with airborne wind energy technology. Sara's background and broader research interests also include dynamic modeling and control of spacecraft along with tethered air vehicles. During the summer of 2010 she was the recipient the Dr. Sharon Kay Stanaway Summer Doctoral Fellowship.
